Video analysis

We chose to anylize all of our videos and wanted to share theser four with you. each one based on it's individual merit. The Blair witch project was chosen because it is a great piece for helping children understand that sophisticated technology is not required to make an 'INTENSE' film!

We chose the news report about the Loch Ness Monster because of its composition, it has lots of great video features and many of the aspects that need to be considered before making a movie (setting, time, characters, style) however the result of seeing such a well produced film could end up the disappointing the students because they may not be able to reproduce the same quality.

The story about the spider and the turlte was interesting because of its moral content. 'Should we as teachers be encouraging a film that deals with revenge? Or was it actually about sharing with other?"

And then finally the film regarding 'Photosynthesis' is a great tool for differentiation, it enables student to learn through song and vision and is also cross curricular encompassing Music, Technology, Science, English and Math!
